My Congo Bar

Lama rasanya tak update dgn n3 masak2 …Smile

Kali ni nak share congo bar yg sekarang ni dah jadi trend di cyber kitchen …

Kalo google congo bar ….maka akan kluarlah berderet2 blog masakan yg upload congo bar dengan pelbagai resepi …..

Tapi i try yg paling senang dgn bahan paling basic …. yg ada stok dlm my esbox

Congo bars (originally from iheartnaptime.net)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar / 290 g gula perang
  • 2/3 cup salted butter (softened) / 125 g butter
  • 3 eggs (whisked) /165 g telur/3 biji telur gred A
  • 2 1/2 cup flour / 300 g tepung gandum
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder / 2 1/4 sudu kecil baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt (i tak letak sbb guna salted butter)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips / 270g chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees (i baked @ 170 deg C). Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add in eggs and vanilla and stir until combined. Mix the baking powder and salt with 1 cup of flour. Pour into the butter mixture and stir in the rest of the flour. Fold in chocolate chips.
  2. Grease a 12x14 pan (13x9 will work too) and lightly dust with flour. Press dough into pan with flour on your hands. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until lightly browned. Oven temps will vary. Test with a tooth pick. The dough should be soft in the center.
  3. Allow bars to cool and then enjoy with a cold glass of milk!

i ikut exactly the resepi hasilnya ….. my congo bar sangatlah manis ….. so kena reduce sugar next time, by how much????…. or mesti pekena dgn kopi Coffee cup yg kawkaw to overcome rasa manis tu

sesaje gatal tangan try bake dlm tray with the partition …. bila dah masak lekatle pulak….Annoyed
